Return and Refund Policy – Location St-Zoutils

At Location St-Zoutils, we strive to offer high-quality tools and professional-grade service. This policy outlines our conditions for returns, cancellations, and refunds related to the rental and sale of tools and equipment. Please read it carefully before completing a transaction.
1. Scope
This policy applies to:
- Equipment purchased online or in-store
- Equipment rented via pre-booking or on-site
- Accessories, consumables, or other tool-related items
2. Return Policy – Purchased Items
2.1 Conditions for Returns
Items purchased from Location St-Zoutils may be eligible for return under the following conditions:
- The return is requested within 14 days of the purchase date
- The item is unused, undamaged, and in resalable condition
- The item is returned with its original packaging, accessories, manuals, and receipt
- The return has been pre-approved by our customer service team
Non-returnable items include:
- Opened consumables (e.g. blades, lubricants, bits)
- Electrical or fuel-powered items that have been used
- Clearance or final-sale products
- Custom-ordered or specialty tools
2.2 Return Process
To initiate a return:
- Contact us by phone or email at location@st-zoutils.com with your order number and reason.
- We will confirm eligibility and provide return instructions.
- Returns must be made in person or shipped at the customer’s expense unless the return is due to a verified defect.
3. Refunds – Purchased Items
- If approved, refunds are issued to the original payment method within 7 business days of receipt and inspection.
- Shipping and handling fees are non-refundable, except in cases of product defect or order error by Location St-Zoutils.
- If the item is returned damaged, incomplete, or non-functional due to misuse, no refund will be issued.
4. Rental Equipment – Cancellation and Refund Policy
4.1 Cancellation of Reservation (Before Pickup)
You may cancel a tool reservation up to 24 hours in advance of your scheduled pickup without penalty.
If cancellation is made less than 24 hours prior, a cancellation fee of 15% of the rental total may be charged.
For same-day cancellations or no-shows, the full daily rental fee may be retained.
4.2 Early Return of Rental Tools
Returning rental equipment before the scheduled return time does not automatically entitle you to a partial refund.
However, at our discretion and based on actual usage, a partial credit or refund may be offered in certain cases.
4.3 Non-Functional or Defective Equipment
If a rental tool is found to be defective or becomes unusable due to mechanical failure not caused by the client:
- We will replace the item at no charge if available
- If a replacement is not possible, we will issue a pro-rated refund
- Defective items must be reported within 2 hours of pickup or delivery
5. Client Responsibility
Clients are responsible for:
- Verifying the suitability of the tool for their task
- Inspecting the equipment before leaving our location
- Returning all items in the condition received, excluding normal wear
Any damage, loss, or abuse of equipment may result in repair fees or full replacement cost, deducted from any refundable deposit or invoiced directly.
6. Exceptions & Discretion
Location St-Zoutils reserves the right to evaluate exceptions on a case-by-case basis. Our goal is to provide excellent service while maintaining fair policies that protect both parties.
