A trash pump is a centrifugal pump that lets muddy water, sand and small debris through without clogging. It also handles clear water.

It is rented to dewater an excavation, a trench or a ditch, empty a pond or a pool, or clear water off a site after heavy rain.

The engine runs on gas. Plan for a 3-inch suction hose and discharge hose, rented separately.
