Standard shingle shovel

A roofing shovel has a toothed blade that slips under the shingle courses and lifts shingles and nails together. The fulcrum under the blade provides the leverage.

It is rented to strip an old asphalt shingle roof, remove a damaged section or take the roofing off a shed.
