Air rock drill / 1" hex

A rock drill combines impact and rotation to bore deep holes in rock or mass concrete, using steel rods and bits.

Renters use it to drill anchor holes, prepare rock splitting, or bore mass concrete for rebar dowels.

It runs on compressed air: plan a compressor with enough output and hoses, to confirm with the advisor. Points and chisels are chosen to suit the job.
