Carpet knee kicker

A knee kicker has a head with teeth that grip the carpet. A bump of the knee on the rear pad pushes the carpet toward the wall to hook it on the tack strip.

It is rented to install carpet in a bedroom, on stairs or in a basement, or to restretch carpet that has rippled.

Manual tool. Tooth depth adjusts to the carpet thickness. For large rooms, a power stretcher completes the job.
