Finish nailer, 1" to 2"

A finish nailer drives small, slim-head nails that hide easily under a little wood filler. It fastens trim without marring it.

It is rented to install baseboards, door and window casings, crown moulding, wainscoting or stair treads.

It runs on compressed air: plan a small compressor and hose. Finish nails are sold separately.
